Open House Overview: 

Caltrans invites you to attend our Open House to learn about transportation plans and projects along the U.S.101 corridor to enhance infrastructure resiliency, public transit, connectivity, mobility and safety.

This year Caltrans Planning Office will be hosting in Eureka and Ukiah.

Next year, 2027, Caltrans will be holding open house meetings in Del Norte and Lake Counties, to ensure all of our represented counties are included and voices of the community are heard.

At the Open House and here on the Engagement Portal you can learn about transportation improvements and initiatives underway in the district. The following topics will be covered:

• Corridor Management Plan (CMP) for US-101: Updates on strategies to manage and improve the U.S. 101 corridor (In Del Norte, Humboldt and Mendocino counties).

• Climate Adaptation and Implementation Plan (CAIP): Explore strategies for adapting transportation infrastructure to address climate change impacts. (Only Eureka meeting, this plan is specific to the U.S. 101 Eureka/Arcata corridor.)

• Caltrans U.S. 101 Corridor Projects: Information about ongoing and planned projects affecting the U.S. 101 corridor in the regional context.

• District Transit Plan: Details on measures to improve transit options and services.

• Prescribed Burn Prevention Projects: Overview of collaborative efforts to reduce wildfire risk through prescribed burns. (Only Ukiah meeting, this plan is specific to the U.S. 101 Mendocino county.)

• Safety Projects: Discussion of initiatives aimed at enhancing road safety in the area.

• Statewide Transportation Plans: Interregional Transportation Strategic Plan, 2050 California Transportation Plan, and California Freight Mobility Plan
