Welcome

Caltrans is working on the Project Initiation Document (PID) to define the project's scope, cost and schedule. The Project Initiation Document (PID) is created to help everyone involved—community members, decision makers, and project teams—understand why transportation improvements are needed and what the project aims to achieve. It explains the main issues, plans, schedule, and costs, and is used to support future funding decisions. The PID looks at important topics like how the project can be built, traffic flow, transportation options, costs, coordination with utilities, environmental impacts, community feedback, and who might be affected. All these factors are reviewed to make sure the project meets the community’s transportation needs and goals.
