Ferndale Access Project - Project Initiation Phase 01-0N330
March 5, 2025 update: Caltrans will announce another public meeting in the coming months to review public survey results and further go over project details.
The goals of engagement during the Project Initiation Document (PID) phase is to:
Gain an understanding of the feasibility of each alternative
Receive community input on the pros and cons of each alternative
Use public feedback to refine options and establish a set of alternatives for further review
Overview:
The Ferndale Access Project goal is to restore reliable access to the community of Ferndale via State Route 211 for all road users. It includes building a strong bridge that meets current design standards. It will also reduce the risk of damage from future seismic events. Public engagement is necessary in the PID phase to refine project scope and determine priorities.
See the "Meetings & Events" tab for information on upcoming meetings.
See the "Alternatives" tab for the seven project alternatives.
